Organisations such as societies, business organisations, not-for-profit organisations, governments, and other relevant technology governing bodies may be considered here. PART b) Discuss how a lack of IT neutrality impacts the business environment. There is an expectation that key stakeholders that are impacted will be identified and the discussion will consider the impact on social, economic, technological, and cultural environments. If you were to assimilate some examples of positive outcomes of lack of IT neutrality that would be looked on favourably when assessing your paper as would a perspective that addresses counter arguments. (For example, do embodied social and cultural values promote learning in a globalised world?). In this part (b), you may choose to focus (although not a requirement) on one particular technology/business/ industry in discussing the consequences. Part A was about causes. Part B is about consequences. The question expects that consequences will be related to stakeholders and categorised into social, economic, technological, and cultural consequences. HINT – The structure can be based on 4 types of consequences, and in each type you can have a stakeholder analysis (look for methods/ frameworks for stakeholder analysis) that will help you write up your stakeholder analysis. Remember highlighting positive consequences in addition to the negative will be highly valued. HINT – Perhaps, the structure should highlight/distinguish between positive and negative consequences. Given the above suggestions, the structure you have proposed will need adjustment so that you cover all aspects of the assignment. Start from a high level view (part A and part B) and then work details. Remember questions are not appropriate headings for sections/sub sections/ paragraphs. Also we should be careful in the sequence – we first answer what is IT bias and only then discuss its causes. Finding the literature is part of the assignment. I am expecting you will know how to look up academic journals and databases to find academically rigorous articles on the topic. Read Less
